AMY Awards 2013
The Atlanta Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) is now accepting nominations for the 2013 Atlanta Marketer of the Year (AMY) Awards. The AMY Awards, which recognize individuals and companies who set themselves apart as originals during 2012 to truly inspire us, will be presented on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at The Fabulous Fox Theatre.
The AMY Awards honor programs and campaigns with innovative strategies, unforgettable creative and outstanding results in 12 different marketing categories such as visual branding, direct response and advertising. AMA Atlanta also presents the Marketer of the Year award to an outstanding agency and an outstanding corporate individual.
“Through this campaign, our marketing team initially created a state-based effort that became a national dialogue about childhood obesity,” stated Tim Whitehead, VP, Marketing and Communications at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. “To have an organization like the AMA, recognize us and validate our work, that means a lot for our team and certainly energizes our work going forward.” Whitehead was last year’s Marketer of the Year Corporate Winner and was referencing Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s childhood obesity campaign.
AMY Awards categories, submission requirements and entry information are available at www.amyawardsatl.com. The deadline for entries is January 31, 2013.
“AMA’s primary function is to elevate the field of marketing and connect individuals through their careers in marketing. Through the AMY Awards, we contribute to this lofty goal by honoring the great marketing geniuses of Atlanta, learning from leaders in the space and building critical linkages with our fellow members. We can’t wait to see the great work produced by the Atlanta marketing community,” said Ashley Schoenith, President of the Atlanta Chapter of the American Marketing Association.
Very special thanks to Nebo Agency for development work on the website, as well as to Iris-Worldwide for the design, logo and branding of this year’s event. If you’re interested in volunteering for or sponsoring this year’s event, please contact Andrea Fenton for more information.
Cheers -
